Campaigns

As a local group we try to focus our efforts on a number of different campaigns. These generally tend to be of a local nature, while we also support one of the campaigns being run by Friends of the Earth nationally.

The Big Ask

How do we campaign?

Lobbying local and national politicians – Our elected representatives are a very important point of contact. We regularly contact these people to express our views and concerns regarding many different subjects.
Organising petitions – It is important that we show that we represent the whole community. Petitions are a great way for us to do this, and also highlight how strongly many people feel about their local environment.
Raising general awareness - As a local group we believe it is important that everybody realises the effect that they can have on the environment and also a difference a small change can make. To do this we attend numerous public events where we try and get everybody involved.

Of course these are not the only way we campaign. If you would like to find out more, if you would like to find out how to get involved or if you have a serious concern about your local environment that you feel we might be able to help you with then you should contact us.
